Sabrina Blackburn is a self-taught artist originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. From a young age, art and music played an important role in her life. She began painting at the age of 11 and started playing guitar at 13, discovering early on that creativity was a powerful way to express emotions, stories, and imagination.Donec vitae sapien ut libero venenatis faucibus. At 21, Sabrina moved to Cisterna di Latina, Italy, where she spent nearly a year touring as a blues, jazz, and acoustic singer-songwriter. During this time she performed her original music across Italy alongside two guitarists and a violinist. This experience helped shape her artistic perspective and deepened her appreciation for music, culture, and creative expression from around the world.Donec vitae sapien ut libero venenatis faucibus. Today, Sabrina focuses primarily on oil painting, creating artwork that blends mystical, ethereal, tribal, psychedelic, and primordial influences. Her paintings are known for their vibrant colors, rich textures, and intuitive brushwork.
Sabrina often describes her creative process as “creative chaos.” Rather than overthinking each piece, she allows inspiration and emotion to guide the painting. For her, the canvas becomes a peaceful space for creativity, self-expression, and manifestation.Donec vitae sapien ut libero venenatis faucibus. Nullam quis ante. In 2021, while living in Nevada City, California, Sabrina opened Sacred Higher Ground Gallery + Art Collective. The gallery was created as a space where artists could connect, collaborate, and showcase their work within a supportive creative community.
Although the physical gallery closed in 2022, the vision behind the collective continues — supporting artists and creating opportunities to share meaningful art with a wider audience.
For Sabrina, art and music are powerful forms of human connection. Through color, rhythm, and sound, creativity becomes a way for people to communicate feelings and ideas that go beyond words.
Today, she continues to create and explore new artistic inspiration in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains of California, where nature, community, and creativity come together to inspire her work every day.
She enjoys discovering hidden musical gems and bringing new sounds to her audience.
